Five Great London Hotels
Whilst our Dazzling Ladies will make your experience an extraordinary one, setting the stage with an extended overnight experience at a fine London hotel will only enhance your time together. Here are some of our suggestions.
A great hotel at the end of Regent Street and a great location to enjoy your time. The Palm Court restaurant – directly up the stairs from the main entrance – offers a wonderful menu and ambience. Dinner at Roux (also in the hotel) is exquisite. The rooms and suites are also spacious and well-appointed.
Top tips for the Langham include the Langham Club (where delicious drinks, appetizers and even main meals) are catered for you in the Club and included in the cost of your Club-class room; and British Airways points are awarded to British Airways members.
One of the finest hotels if not the World. Right next to Hyde Park Underground Station – or a short walk to Buckingham Palace if you prefer – and boasting (although the Lanesborough never boasts) the Library Bar – one of the best bars of any London hotel. If your preference is for a discrete and quiet drink where whispered conversation can be had then the Library Bar should be on your list. The sumptuous rooms and suites are delightful and having a butler at your beck and call 24 hours a day is never a bad option.
Top tips for the Lanesborough include having a cigar in the Garden Room (let’s face it, it is an indoor-outdoor bar) and enjoying a couples massage in the Spa (but you’ll likely need a guide to find it from inside the hotel – and don’t worry because the excellent staff are used to that).
The Dorchester has a justifiably long and illustrious history as one of the premier hotels in London. The famous and infamous have entered the front doors and you will count yourself among them when you and your Dazzling Lady experience the hospitality of the Dorchester. The rooms and suites are sumptuous and will add to your Dazzling experience.
Top tips for The Dorchester include asking for the suite in which General Eisenhower was based during WWII and enjoying time in the Dorchester Spa.
A wonderful hotel which presents as a Grand Dame but it is not obvious that it only became a luxury hotel in about 2000. But the Rosewood has quickly established itself as one of the best hotels in London. The suites, in particular, are wonderful and the service from the staff confirms this as an amazingly well-run hotel at the top of the game.
Don’t forget to treat your Dazzling Escort to dinner in the restaurant and sample some of the wonderful cuisines. Then go back to the room and … enjoy!
A wonderful boutique hotel a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace (and members of the Royal Family are known to visit from time to time). A bit busier now since some of discovered the hotel after the wedding of William and Kate (the Middleton family stayed here before the wedding) but still well worth it. The suites are each distinctive and absolutely wonderful and you will never regret your stay.
The Goring Bar was recently remodelled (it went from old world dark woods to brighter putty-coloured walls and decorations) and the renovations have not met with unanimous approval from those who liked the “old bar”, but give it a try because it is worth a visit. The Dining Room is also Michelin-starred for good reason (try the Eggs Drumkilbo or the Lobster Omelette) and definitely a great venue to enjoy with your Dazzling Lady.
